Lyuba Titovets' artistic training began at age five in St. Petersburg, and she has been drawing and painting ever since. By age seven, she was selected for the Children's Art Club in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg. She studied at the Art School for Children, and had the opportunity to study with numerous instructors through the Guild of USSR Artists as a youth whose instinctive talent was quite evident. She went on to the State University in St. Petersburg where she received a BA and MFA in the College of Fine Arts and met her Siberian born husband, Aleksander.
Lyuba Titovets came to the United States in 1992 with her husband Aleksander who is also a master painter. Like her husband's paintings, much of Lyuba's artwork is steeped in Russian influences. Their work was just recently added to the collections of the King of Spain, Juan-Carlos, and actress Sophia Loren.
With invitations to national and international juried exhibitions and numerous group and solo shows in galleries throughout the western US, Lyuba Titovets' career has soared. In 2000 she received the Dillman's Creative Art Foundation Award from the Oil Painters of America Juried Exhibition. Additionally, Lyuba is the recipient of numerous awards and honors and has had many solo exhibitions in America and in Nantes, France.
Lyuba Titovets work has been exhibited in Westminster Abby in London, England, as well as the National Academy of Desigh and Oil Painters of America. Her name is included in the Archive of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C. and she has been invited to appear in the Great American Artists show in the Cincinnati Museum of Art.
