Cynde Roof is an oil painter whose work is immediately recognizable for the lovely color palette, unusual subjects in still life, and smooth, glass-like surfaces. Her work is included in private, public, and museum collections in the states and abroad. She became a successful painter in 2005 after a near-death experience left her with the ability to craft fine artwork.
She has taught at the college level, owned a private art atelier, and traveled to the four corners of the world holding sought-after workshops and art retreats. Cynde is quick to give credit where credit is due: “God has rained blessings on me and given the gift of creating happiness on the canvas to me and to those viewing my artwork. It just doesn't get much better than that.”
From humble roots in Oklahoma, Cynde and her husband Rodney have just recently made a move to Santa Fe, New Mexico. There is a deep spirit in Santa Fe it is said. It gets in your bones and for the artist, it underlines the beauty of nature, culture, and of course the art itself. “I am happy to be carried away by the spirit and to be producing high-quality original oil paintings in the rich atmosphere that is in New Mexico.”
